Gaura lindheimeri 'Crimson Butterflies' (PPAF) – Crimson Butterflies Wand Flower
Produces dark crimson leaves and short, red stems that hold hot pink flowers just above the foliage. Plants grow just 18” tall and bloom all season. Bred by Howard Bentley of Plant Growers Australia in Victoria, Australia. Tolerates high humidity and is drought tolerant, adapting to a wide variety of soils. The dwarf habit is a great improvement over the sometimes-straggly varieties of this Genus. In greenhouse conditions it wants to bloom twelve months of the year but is perfectly hardy outside.

Gaura lindheimeri 'So White' (PPAF)
A great improvement in Gaura! This plant grows just 15-18” tall and has a profusion of white flowers all season. The flower color is outstanding in its purity. Unlike most white Gauras, there is not the slightest bit of pink in the flowers. The foliage is remarkably clean, without the spotting that often occurs in other Gauras. It grows from a basal rosette rather than from woody stems. For those of you that dislike Gaura because of the willowy and sprawling nature of the plant, this is the Gaura for you!

Cold Hardiness: Zones 6-9
Spacing: 12"
Growth Rate: Moderate to Fast
Water Needs: Any well-drained soil

Gaura lindheimeri 'Sunny Butterflies' (PPAF) – Sunny Butterflies Wand Flower

The gray-green leaves are variegated with a white edge. Looks great mixed with Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’, or other dark violet flowering perennials. Like all Gauras, it is tolerant of drought, heat and high humidity.

A woody perennial species from South Africa, producing sprawling flowering shoots, covered with finely cut leaves with silver undersides. Flowers are bluish purple and bloom June through September. Though not at all invasive, the free growing habit of this plant will lend itself better to a meadow garden or less formal border where it will make an impressive spectacle of itself without impinging on its smaller elbowed neighbors.

Cold Hardiness: Zones 7-10 (Zone 6 with protection)
Spacing: 12"
Growth Rate: Moderate
