| Verbascum 'Caribbean Crush' Mullein |
This is a large leaved Verbascum that grows only 18-20 tall. The flowers are salmon pink and appear from early to late summer, if the spent flowers are removed. As with all Verbascum, removal of spent flowers before they set seed increases the longevity of the plant. The plant is also intolerant of wet conditions in winter, so excellent drainage of the soil is a must. Throughout its long bloom period these fat flower stalks will turn anyones head!
Sun Exposure: Full Sun
Cold Hardiness: Zones 5-8
Spacing: 12-18" apart
Growth Rate: Moderate to Fast
Water and Soil Needs: Porous soils produce the best plants. Allow the soil to dry out between watering.
