Tricyrtis ‘Moonlight Treasure’ PPAF – Toad Lily
“When in bloom, this toad lily with large moonlight yellow flowers, is a treasure to behold! It blooms in clusters of 2-5 flowers that cover the stem of every leaf. Unlike other Tricyrtis, the silvery spotted foliage is so thick and leathery; it can withstand wet weather, drought, and pests alike. With a compact habit, growing just 10” tall, it blooms August through September. Though never invasive, it will colonize a moist area of your shade garden, giving you a full season of spectacular, visual interest. Propagation is prohibited

Very showy, they flower in late summer and early fall, sporting rich tones of deep raspberry-chocolate. Selected by Chris Hansen, Director of Horticulture at Wayside Gardens, from our fields at Sunny Border Nurseries. These flowers are so luscious; you’ll just wish you could eat them! It blooms for most of the summer in full sun when the spent flowers are removed. Good drainage is necessary and like all Verbascum, the plant lives longer if the flowers are removed before they set seed. A bouquet of this mullein will awe your friends and guests.
