A remarkable new hybrid Foxglove bred by amateur
breeder Heather Wilson of England, who wanted to create the same beautiful
colored flowers of Isoplexis canariensis, but wanted a Foxglove
that was both hardy and perennial. The result of nine years of hybridization,
D. ‘Spice Island’, has peachy-yellow flowers, dusted with
nutmeg, presented on numerous, 2-3’ tall spikes branching from the
base of the plant. Differs from other foxgloves with evergreen, glossy,
dark green, lanceolate leaves. A stiff, upright habit with good branching,
blooming repeatedly, June to September.
Sun Exposure: Full to Partial Sun
Cold Hardiness: Zones 38
