Viola pedata ‘Eco Artist Palette’ - Bird’s Foot Violet
A cute little tufted pansy with flowers that look like they grew from an artist’s palette.  Each flower has shades of yellow, purple and white on a plant that grows just 3-4 inches tall.  This variation on the native bird’s foot violet was given to us by the legendary plantsman and hybridizer, Don Jacobs, of Decatur, Ga.  Try naturalizing it in a shaded or wooded area of your garden.  It’s a sweetheart!  Don’t be surprised by the fact that it blooms off and on all season.
